The first batch of apps from Round Trip Software have been retired from the App Store. These provided an incredible learning experience for myself, and hopefully they proved useful for some of you out there. Sadly, market and time constraints did not allow me to continue to maintain or enhance those apps.
The apps Bedtime Balloons, Continuous Math Cards, and Where in the World is Santa Claus? are no longer available for purchase on the App Store.
Stay tuned for new apps or possible resurrection of the old apps as demand dictates.
Bedtime Balloons, the latest iPhone app from Round Trip Software, is now available on the App Store. The app is for parents looking for a little help restoring some order to bedtime. Bedtime Balloons is a fun, game-like experience designed to help kids focus on their next task such as brushing teeth, taking a bath, and more. Why nag your kids when you can just say, “Check the app!”?
Bedtime Balloons is flexible and simple to use for parents and kids.
Parents set up routines exactly how they want. Set up a school bath night, a relaxed weekend night, or create any kind of routine that you want with your own photos. Try it for your morning routine, chores, or homework. Set time limits on each task as needed, and arrange tasks in the order you want.
Your child follows the routine using simple visual controls. No reading is required. Balloons are earned with the successful completion of each step. If your child takes too long on a job, he or she loses balloons to a pesky flying bug. Once ready for bed, your child get to pop his or her collected balloons and see what treats are waiting inside.
The app is designed to be safe for young kids. It has no ads, no in-app purchases, no social media, and no linking to websites.
See the FAQ and the app’s marketing page for more information.
This app is kid-tested. Our four-year-old daughter loves racing the monkey to bed. We hope it works for you too!
Santa Claus is a man of habit. He spends most of the year holed up in the North Pole preparing for Christmas. Christmas Eve is the most exciting day of the year to follow Santa Claus with our app. Santa also keeps busy on Christmas Day as long as he can stay awake. Here are some insider tips on what to expect this year. All times are local to you, wherever you are. 😉
Christmas Eve
- Santa will likely be working in his North Pole workshop overseeing toy production until the last minute. We think he will wrap up by around 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
- Santa will then return to his home (by reindeer of course).
- Starting around 5:30, Santa will likely make final adjustments to his naughty & nice list.
- Around 6:00 pm, Santa will enjoy a hearty meal to get his strength up for the big night.
- Next, Santa will prepare the reindeer fleet and load up the presents. This can take a while.
- By 8:00 pm, Santa should be on his way around the world. He may not be quite as easy to find while traversing the world.
Christmas Day
- By morning time, Santa Claus should have already dropped by your house.
- Santa will still be delivering presents to other corners of the world until late morning (your time).
- By 11:00 am on Christmas Day, Santa will be back at the North Pole for a Christmas Day celebration and parade.
- By mid-afternoon, Santa Claus will be getting drowsy from his sleepless night. Expect him to return home by reindeer and turn in early.
Where in the World is Santa Claus? has been available in English, Spanish, French, and German for some time now. We figured that covered a pretty large part of the world where Christmas and Santa Claus are celebrated. But since these languages miss some of the largest mobile app markets, and the good people on Elance make it so easy to do translations, why not give it a go in a few more languages? In particular, version 1.4 of the app is now available in Japanese, Chinese (traditional and simplified), and Russian!
Check out how each language looks in their respective iTunes screenshots. Each language brings its own unique visual style to the app. I never thought this app would look so exotic!
